Vimy Ridge Day
On a cold Easter Monday in 1917 in northern France after carefully planning and preparing their attack. But by noon of that first day most of the heavily defended ridge was captured and by 12 April the Allies commanded the heights overlooking the Douai Plain.
This day is celebrated in the memories of all those who were a part of the Vimy Ridge battle from Canada.
